Post 224: News Quickie: New 'Finding Dory' Poster!

BEFORE WE GET INTO THIS POST I WHAT YOU TO KNOW THAT I MISCOUNTED THE POST NUMBER! Sorry for this but I've renamed the posts with the wrong number.

Hi everybody! Welcome to another News Quickie! As expected we are getting tons of news on Finding Dory and I'm here to talk about some of them. Though there are multiple short stories about the upcoming film we are only going to focus on a few.

Starting things of, we have gotten the new poster for movie which is very similar to the first film's poster and the first film's teaser poster. It looks very nice and I can definitely see this poster hanging up on my wall one day. Also, notice how Hank looks angry, I'm not saying that he is the villain its just an observation.

Also, on Twitter there is a trending topic known as the #FindingDoryEvent. from what I'm reading it looks like some people got to see a sneak peek of the film and learn some facts about the movie at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. One interesting fact that was taught at the event was that 103,639 storyboards were used to create the film to go see pictures and articles of the event go here.

One last short news story was that we know more about the plot of the film because of this official, updating plot summary:

"Disney•Pixar's Finding Dory welcomes back to the big screen everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang Dory (voice of Ellen DeGeneres), who’s living happily in the reef with Nemo (voice of Hayden Rolence) and Marlin (voice of Albert Brooks). When Dory suddenly remembers that she has a family out there who may be looking for her, the trio takes off on a life-changing adventure across the ocean to California’s prestigious Marine Life Institute, a rehabilitation center and aquarium.

In an effort to find her mom (voice of Diane Keaton) and dad (voice of Eugene Levy), Dory enlists the help of three of the MLI’s most intriguing residents:

  • Hank (voice of Ed O’Neill), a cantankerous octopus who frequently gives employees the slip
  • Bailey (voice of Ty Burrell), a beluga whale who is convinced his biological sonar skills are on the fritz
  • Destiny (voice of Kaitlin Olson), a nearsighted whale shark.

Deftly navigating the complex innerworkings of the MLI, Dory and her friends discover the magic within their flaws, friendships and family."

These are some great stories which are great for the hype of the movie and we'll be sure to see more stories of the movie as we get closer to June 17th and Ill see you soon!

What are your thoughts on the poster and these other news stories?
