UPDATE: See you in 2016!

Hi everybody! You are probaly wondering, where have I been?!? I've actually have just been relaxing.

I recently have wondered if I should still blog or not, on the one hand I haven't had the energy to blog recently, but on the other hand I like blogging and I've been blogging since 2012!

And now I'm returning to blogging! ...in 2016. I also have cancelled Inside Out Month and all the post I've had planned except the Lava review. I will also not post news posts about the recent 2015 news, because I missed way too much.

Don't worry, when I come back there will be enough stuff to talk about when I come back, including Pixar's 16th movie, The Good Dinosaur and getting ready for the relase of Finding Dory, so see you in 2016 everyone and have a great rest of 2015!

Pixar Review: 'Inside Out'

Hi everybody! Inside Out is finally here and now I have to give my thoughts on the movie. Is it good? Is it bad? Let's find out!

But first, I have a different way for reviewing from now on which you find out while reading my review. Also, don't worry there is no spoilers. Anyways, let's review Pixar's 15th animated movie!

The Plot:
The story of Inside Out is probably one of Pixar's most daring ones ever since Up (which was Pete Docter's previous film before this one). The plot is about an 11-year-old girl named Riley who has been moved from Minnesota to San Francisco, but that isn't really even the main story. The main story is about the emotions in Riley's mind which are Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), and Disgust (Mindy Kaling). Most of the emotions are not excited about the move, except for Joy who sees lots of potential in the idea. After the first day of Riley's new school, Sadness makes things go wrong which leads both Joy and Sadness to end up out of Headquarters. So now Joy and Sadness try to get back to Headquarters to make Riley happy again.

Let's Draw 'Inside Out' - Sadness Entry

Hi everybody! This is kind of last minute, but here is my entry in the Let's Draw Inside Out Sadness contest. My entry was done in a style called "dot art" where the outline is made out of nothing but dots, I think it looks pretty good. Anyways, if you want to post your own last minute entry go here:

Anyways, see you soon!

Post 218: New French Trailer for 'Inside Out' Gets Released

Hi everybody! On the last news story we talked about Pixar's France-based film, Ratatouille, now France has given us a new trailer for Inside Out.

While most of the previous trailers showed the mood of the movie and most of the inside world of the movie, this one focuses more on Riley's personal life and her school.

Something Pixar Post noticed was some of the classmates wearing some easter eggs including Sid's shirt only in a different color and a student with a shirt made out of Toy Story characters, you can see that in their post, which I've included later in this post.

Post 217: Quickie: New Pixar Concert Show: 'Ratatouille in Concert'

Hi everybody! Welcome to another News QuickieRatatouille is a Pixar film loved by many, even some people saying it is their favorite Pixar movie. One of the best parts in the movie is the score and now their is a concert show coming that may get your attention.

Introducing, Ratatouille in Concert a all-new show coming to a city near you. The show will have HD clips of the movie being shown during a live performance of the entire soundtrack of Ratatouille.

The show will make its debut in Paris, France which is the perfect place because it is the main setting in the movie. The tour will start in October 2015, and to get people excited a French trailer has been released.

News found here:

This definitely sounds interesting, I will be curious to see how this is like. I personally never saw the Pixar in Concert tour that they did, so I might what to see this. Anyways, see you soon!

What do you think of Ratatouille in Concert?

Post 216: Quickie: Cannes Film Festival to Premiere 'Inside Out'

Hi everybody! Welcome to another News Quickie! I know I've haven't been posting that much, but now it's time to get back on track with lots of news stories coming in the next couple of days. To start off these back-to-back news stories, have a pretty exciting one. Inside Out will premiere at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival! Here's the scoop!

The Cannes Film Festival has selected Inside Out to be at their festival in the category in "Out of Competition". The last time Pixar was in this festival was with Up, which was also their first time in the festival. Pixar celebrated this news by releasing the first clip of the movie.

The clip shows Joy getting ready for Riley's first day of her new school and gives everyone a job except for poor Sadness. The clip gives me even more reason to get excited for the movie.

News found here:

This is great news, this and the clip show me why this will be the return to people liking Pixar again, after mixed reviews for their past three films. Anyways, see you soon!

What do you think of this news and clip?

Let's Draw 'Inside Out' - Round 4

Hi everybody! It is kind of late for this, but if you don't know the Let's Draw 'Inside Out' event is continuing with Anger.

Here is my entry which I actually did on a t-shirt, it is a little hard to see, but it is Anger and Joy and has a tagline on "Be Happy!" and says June 19th (the U.S. release of the of the movie) on the bottom, it turned out pretty well. It isn't my best, but it is hard to draw on a t-shirt. Anyways, see you soon!

Pixar Review: 'Dug's Special Mission'

Hi everybody! It is time for another Pixar review! When you first watched Up you most likely fell in love with a dog named Dug. Now the people who wanted more Dug now have this short which I am going to review: Dug's Special Mission!
Set before the scene where Carl and Russell meet Dug, it is Dug's birthday! But Alpha's gang think Dug will never help catch Kevin, the bird, so Alpha comes up with a idea to just give him a fake mission to distract Dug. But, every fake mission he tries doesn't work. Until Alpha says he is a bad dog, Dug runs away and then finds Carl and Russell.
This is a pretty good idea, people might have wondered what Dug was doing before he met Carl and Russell. Anyways, this is a good plot, read more to see if I think it works well in this short.

Pixar Review: 'Partly Cloudly'

File:Partly Cloudy poster.jpgHi everybody! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, I just wanted a little break. But, I am back with tons of posts in the works! But first, I want to say I'm adding more of my opinions in my reviews from now on, including where I talk about the plot. Anyways, let's go up into the clouds with the Pixar short Partly Cloudy!

Everyone says babies come from storks, but where do the storks get the babies. The answer lies in the sky, where clouds people sculpt babies with clouds and brings them to life. One cloud named Gus often makes the "dangerous" baby animals such as, crocodiles, rams, and more. Gus' stork friend named Peck has to deliver them and often gets hurt by the baby animals. But Peck starts to wonder if he should go to the cloud people that make more "friendly" babies.

This plot, is a great story when you first read it you think how are they going to do it in a short with no dialogue but, like with the first act of WALL-E, works perfectly. The plot is also really well handled by Peter Sohn, who will soon direct The Good Dinosaur coming this November.

Post 215: Disney Hollywood Studios' 'Inside Out' Art Exhibit

Hi everybody! The Art of Inside Out might not be out yet, but we still have seen some concept art from the movie, Now we have probably the most we have of Inside Out concept art we will get until the Art of book comes out.

Disney Hollywood Studios is now displaying artwork from Inside Out that shows early designs and possibly some rejected characters. All of the artwork is creative and beautiful and I can't wait to see more artwork from the film.

Post 214: 'Inside Out' - Headquarters Meets Studio Q

Hi everybody! On the last news story, we looked at Pete Docter mostly talking about the characters and voice actors. But know we are looking at Pete Docter going deeper into the meaning of adding personal connections in Pixar's films in this Studio Q interview.

The interview first starts by going into the beginnings of the project, but then soon becomes a look at Pixar's films connecting with people. The interview also talked about many things about the movie that we didn't know before like Riley's fear of Grandma's vacuum cleaner. There is lots of great things about the interview, but you should just watch the interview for yourself at the link where I found the news from.

News found here:

I think this is a inspiring interview, I knew that Pixar always wants you to connect with their movies but this makes me think about it more and I hate to sound like a broken record again but I am really looking forward to seeing the movie this Summer. See you soon!

What do you think of Pete Docter's Studio Q interview?

Post 213: Pete Docter's 'Inside Out' Talk Show Interview

Hi everybody! I know I haven't posted in a while, so I have some catching up to do. Today, I have three news stories that I will cover today. I know they did release another international trailer, but I feel like these international trailers were starting to spoil a bit too much. (But if you are interested you can check it out here.) Anyways, let's look at a television interview that goes Inside Out with the director (Pete Docter) and producer (Jonas Rivera) of the movie!

Post 212: New Spanish 'Inside Out' is So Cute!

Watch Trailer Here!

Hi everybody! Not to long ago we got the newest US trailer for Inside Out, which looked at the story a bit more. Here we are a couple days later with a new Spanish trailer, and like most international trailers it may spoil some of the movie and because I'm trying not to get spoiled, I'm trying not to watch this trailer too much. But anyways, let's look at this trailer!

Post 211: Quickie: 'Inside Out' Gets Into the March Madness Sprit

Hi everybody! Time for another News Quickie! With Inside Out getting closer and closer we now are getting lots of more looks and news stories of the movie. Now we have another fun TV to celebrate the feelings of March Madness.
This TV spot, while only being 30 seconds, shows a lot of new footage. Including Joy's fun happy dance, Riley's hockey team, and Joy and Sadness speaking their thoughts on their new awards. There was tons of fun little glimpses that I can't wait to see how it fits together when the movie hits theatres this Summer.

News found here:

This TV spit shows lots of things, like I said I can not wait to watch the movie which looks totally awesome! See you soon!

What are your thoughts on this new Inside Out TV spot?

The Pixar Points #22: A Look at Pixar's Posters

Hi everybody! Pixar has done some great advertising in the past and some of the best advertising is found in their posters. They show the great adventure they will show it is a great way to get people interested in the movie. Today we will be looking at Pixar's posters over the years and to see all of the posters I will be looking at today go to this link.
(Also, for some movies I talk about all posters while others I only the original poster found on the link.)

Pixar Review: 'BURN-E'

Hi everybody! WALL-E is a great movie, but you might have wondered about that one robot that got locked out of the Axiom. Luckily we have the answer with this short film that I will review today, BURN-E.

When WALL-E was traveling to the Axiom, he made an asteroid hit the one of the lights on the Axiom and now BURN-E, a welder robot has to fix it. It is harder then what you might think.

The Pixar Legacy:
Like most direct-to-video shorts, it doesn't have that much off an effect on Pixar's legacy. Aside from Pixar working as hard as they can, there isn't that much to talk about here. So, I say this short doesn't have a Pixar legacy. But does that mean the short is bad?

Post 210: Josh Cooley - Co-Director of 'Toy Story 4' & Director of 'Inside Out' Blu-ray Short

Hi everybody! Josh Cooley has been at Pixar for a while now and has done several things including voicing characters, directing the short George and A.J., and recently the head of story of Inside Out. Now Josh has now had great thing happen to him.

The first of two things that have recently been announced is that he has just finished a short for the Inside Out Blu-ray release. It is unknown what the short will be about, but it will probably be a fun short.

Post 209: 2nd 'Inside Out' Trailer Delivers Exactly Want You Want

Hi everybody! It's here, the trailer you have all been waiting for! This trailer is probably now my favorite one we have gotten from the movie currently. Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness now have gave us laughs, great animation, and more moments to quote until the movie comes out. The Ellen Show premiered the trailer and has members of the cast on her show throughout the week. Anyways, let's talk about the trailer!

Post 208: 'Toy Story 4' - The Rom Com

Hi everybody! Toy Story 4 is set for June 2017 and now people are wondering what the story will be. Now an interview with Pixar's Jim Morris at the official Disney Latino blog to shed some light of the story of the movie.

Note that we translated the original interview with Google Translate, so it might not be 100 percent what he actually said. But anyways, the interview talked mostly what we knew about Inside Out for most of the interview, but then they asked about the fourth Toy Story movie and you probably didn't guess this is what is was going to say.

Post 207: Quickie: WDW's Midway Mania To Be Updated

Toy Story Mania! at Disney's Hollywood StudiosHi everybody! Time for another News Quickie! One of the most popular rides at Walt Disney World is Toy Story Midway Mania a 4D ride that includes a completive yet still fun version of classic midway games. Now they have a new way to get more people to visit the ride.

Recently Walt Disney World has said they will add a new track to the ride. It is unknown if they will also add more vehicles or something to make lines shorter currently. There is also to word on the date they will start updating the ride. Hopefully we can get more info on this soon.

News found here:

I have personally never rode the ride myself currently, but when I get the chance I will give you my thoughts. But I have played the video game based off of the ride and it was pretty fun. Hopefully this is great for people who wanting more of the ride. See you soon!

What do you think of this upcoming update?

You are seeing my entry for the month which is done in a style I like to call "blind drawing" were you look at no images of what you are drawing. I think it turned out well and looks somewhat like Disgust. Anyways, see you soon!

Pixar Review: 'Presto'

Hi everybody! Who would like to see a magic trick? Sadly, I have none to show you, but I have something even better, a review of the Pixar short Presto!

A magician named Presto does a typical magic show with a couple portal hats to the "rabbit in the hat" trick. But his rabbit Alec would like to eat a carrot first. So, Alec decides he will not do the act until he is fed. The rest of the short is Alec trying to get fed in a Looney Tunes sort of way.

The Pixar Legacy:
This sort hasn't really gotten that much attention, aside from good reviews when it was release with WALL-E and nominations for several awards including an Oscar nomination. But I think it does have a Pixar legacy for having a Looney Tunes or Tom and Jerry style. It was done really well and I hope we see something like this when Inside Out comes out. So, I will say it does have a Pixar legacy. But does deserve it?

TRAILER ALERT - Next 'Inside Out' Trailer Coming March 10th

Hi everybody! The official Inside Out Twitter released a special message yesterday for people wanting another trailer for the movie!

The message said, "Keep a cool head. The new Inside Out trailer is coming soon!" They also added this image with it saying "4 days?! Who has time for that?" Because this was from yesterday that now is 3 days. This means the next trailer will come in 3 days which is Tuesday, March 10th. So keep in eye online and on this blog on that day to see a new Inside Out trailer. This trailer will most likely play in front of the new live-action Cinderella and DreamWorks' Home. I can't wait to get the next trailer! See you soon!

The Pixar Points #21: My Thoughts on 'Frozen'

Hi everybody! You have probably been hearing songs from a certain non-Pixar movie. I have always wanted to review this movie and now I get to, plus I haven't been doing one of these My Thoughts on... posts in a while so I think this is just the right movie to bring these kinds of the posts in this series. So, here we go my personal thoughts on Frozen. Because the cold never bothered me anyway.

March 4, 2015

Post 206: 'Inside Out' Gets New Poster & Mindy Kaling Interview

Hi everybody! Inside Out has been getting big attention recently with Pixar fans waiting for a the next trailer and now there is some hop for a new trailer coming with a new poster and an interview with the voice actress of Disgust!

People Magazine has given us our next poster for Inside Out which shows the emotions doing what they do best showing off their receptive emotions. My favorite pose in the poster being Fear with his overreacting of what is going on. Hopefully we get to see the emotions in motions with the newest trailer which should come soon because of the new Cinderella movie coming out.  Also, the top of the posted says it is "from the creators of Up". I haven't seen Up mentioned on a poster since Toy Story 3, so it nice to see Up mentioned. It was most likely mentioned because of the team being the same for both movie including the same director (Pete Docter).

Pixar Review: 'Your Friend, the Rat'

Hi everybody! Rats are easily hated by many people, but luckily there is a short that will now help rats be liked by people, Your Friend, the Rat.

Remy tries to make mankind like rats by telling them the history of man and rat and also that rats can be cool. Also, singing why people and rats should be friends.

The Pixar Legacy:
Like most Pixar direct-to-video shorts there isn't that much legacy to be found not including the people of Pixar working as hard as they can. But for this one I will give it a Pixar legacy title. Because of having hand-drawn animation. Hand-drawn animation isn't used that much anymore outside out television shows. So having Pixar have hand-drawn is really awesome. With that, I say this short has a Pixar legacy. But does it deserve it?

February 20, 2015

Pixar Review: 'Lifted'

Hi everybody! Before WALL-E there was another Pixar sci-fi project that I will be reviewing today. Here my review of Lifted!

When a teen alien gets behind the controls of a spaceship, you will think he would know how to abduct a farmer in the middle of nowhere. That doesn't happen, instead the alien fails badly and gets a few mishaps along the way.

The Pixar Legacy:
Pixar put tons of effort into this project, and it shows. It hasn't really gotten referenced in other Pixar works, but it does something that makes it has a Pixar legacy. They let Gary Rydstrom direct it, Gary is a sound designer that worked on tons of Pixar's movies and shorts. He also directed Hawaiian Vacation and this year's Strange Magic after this short. For giving Gary his directing debut I would say this short has a Pixar legacy.

The Pixar Points #20: A Closer Look at 'A Bug's Life'

Hi everybody! A Bug's Life is probably Pixar's most forgotten movie. So, I'm going to breakdown the entire movie with cool details, easter eggs, and enjoying some awesome moments. Also, the time codes were from the 10th Anniversary Blu-ray of the movie and the screencaps are from Disney Screencaps. So, let's jump into the world of bugs! [WARNING: SPOILERS]

February 15, 2015

Post 205: 'Inside Out' - Brain Freeze

Hi everybody! We have all had that moment when you get a brain freeze, and now Pixar is adding a humorous take on the subject with this new Inside Out TV spot!

This TV spot as motioned takes your terrible brain freeze and makes it humorous with over-the-top animation and great reactions. Take a look!

February 14, 2015

Pixar Review: 'Mater and the Ghostlight'

Hi everybody! Halloween isn't coming for a while, but you can still enjoy a few frights throughout the year like in this short, Mater and the Ghostlight.

Mater loves playing pranks on the town of Radiator Springs, but after the Sherriff tells everyone the spooky tale of the Ghostlight Mater gets scared. Then he gets chased by the Ghostlight and tries to drive away from it not knowing that it may be a prank.

The Pixar Legacy:
I know that Pixar did put effort into the project, but I don't think it has a legacy. Aside from maybe creating more of a Mater fan base, I don't really think it has a Pixar legacy. But does that mean it's bad?

February 8, 2015

The Pixar Points #19: A Look At 'Buzz Lightyear of Star Command'

Hi everybody! When they were advertising Toy Story OF TERROR!, they said it was the first Pixar television special. Now that might be true, but it wasn't the VERY first thing Pixar did for TV. Because Buzz Lightyear got a TV/direct-to-DVD movie and a TV series. Today we will be talking about it and seeing if it was good or bad.

February 7, 2015

Pixar Review: 'One Man Band'

Hi everybody! Music makes all kinds of people happy, including if it is in Pixar movies. So how about entire short about music like in, One Man Band.

In a quiet village, a kid is going to put a gold coin in a fountain to make a wish come true. But there is two musicians they want the gold coin for themselves. So, the musicians try to win over the gold coin.

The Pixar Legacy:
There hasn't been that much references as much as other movies, but Pixar did work hard on this short. For most Pixar projects, story comes first and music is usually last. But for this short, they worked on the story and music at the same time. For that first time they did that, I'll say this short has a Pixar legacy.

Post 204: Luigi's Flying Tires To Be Remade in 2016

Hi everybody! Cars Land first opened back in 2012, showing people the world of Cars like never before. They have three rides there - Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Radiator Springs Racer, and our subject for today Luigi's Flying Tires. Both "Mater" and "Racer" have both gotten great crowd, but there were rumors of that not happening with "Luigi".  So, now we have this news.

Best of Let's Draw - Joy

Hi everybody! If you don't know or remember, I am doing a fun way to countdown to the big release of Inside Out. We are drawing a character from the movie each month and we have finished the first round of Joy! Here is a look at the entries on January's Joy entries.

Khannie's final take on Joy.
The first entry was by mynameiskhannie, who has added her cartoony style to Joy. I really enjoyed his style of drawing, shows a cuter and sillier side of the characters! I looks really great, can't wait to more entries from khannie!

So what are you waiting for? Submit here:

What you are seeing above is my entry which I did a sheet of paper. It isn't anything fancy, but I am proud of what I did.

Anyways, I can't wait to see your entry and see you soon!

Post 203: 'Inside Out' Puppy Promos

Hi everybody! I want to mention before we get into today's news I want to say that from now on I will be creating original text for my news stories, and then a link to the site I got the news from. Anyways, today's news is about Pixar and puppies. What can go wrong with that combo?

Earlier today the Puppy Bowl aired and showed puppies doing cute stuff, anyways Inside Out did a partnership with the Puppy Bowl to show off sneak peeks of the movie. These including two main TV ads and two commercial bumpers that don't really show anything. Watch the collection of the sneak peeks at this link.

The Pixar Points #18: Pixar's Directors

Hi everybody! Pixar movies are good for a reason: the people. The workers at Pixar always try to make their movies and shorts the best they can. One of the most important people that make the movies the way they are is the director. Pixar has had many talented directors. But are they good directors? Which are the best? Let's look at the wonderful world of Pixar's directors.

Pixar Review: 'Jack-Jack Attack'

Poster for Jack-Jack AttackHi everybody! Most babies are cute, even if they might have super powers. But it would be bad if you had to take care of a super baby as seen in this short, Jack-Jack Attack!

Babysitter Kari thinks Jack-Jack will be a piece of cake to take care of. But she doesn't know the terror that will happen when you babysit Jack-Jack. So Kari has to deal with Jack-Jack's "special needs".

The Pixar Legacy:
Being a direct-to-DVD short there isn't that much to talk about here. I can tell Pixar took time to make this short, but there isn't that much about the impact of this short. The short doesn't have that much of a legacy expect it was supposed to be a part of the actual movie. I would say this short doesn't have a Pixar legacy, but does that mean it is bad?
