Pixar Review: 'Tin Toy'

Hi everybody! Before Toy Story there was a short that starred toys coming to life, and that short is about to be given a review.

Plot:
Babies are cute and fun to people, but for toys they are monsters meant to drool on everything. Tinny, a tin toy, is terrified of Billy, a baby, at first but later realizes that babies aren't that bad. But later the baby starts getting more interested in the baby that the toy came in.

The Pixar Legacy:
This short had multiple challenges that Pixar had not done before and some are good. It was the first to use Renderman and to have cartoony likeness to realistic features. Also later inspiring the story of Toy Story deserves credit. So, it is safe to say that this short has a Pixar Legacy.

Final Thoughts:
While the animation hasn't aged well especially the baby, this is still a fun short that can be fun to see how Pixar made a story with toys back then. It's not a Pixar masterpiece but it is still a iconic short that I enjoy. I even think some of the gags/clever ideas work well in this! So my rating is...

My Rating: 8/10

What do you think of this short?
