Pixar Review: 'Brave'

Hi everybody! When I first started this blog the most recent Pixar movie was this, Brave and now it's time for the review!

In Scotland, there is a princess named Merida who doesn't like her mother that much and has a passion for her bow and arrow. But now Merida has to get married because of her mother so she storms off into the woods and meets a witch. The witch makes a deal with her and makes a spell to change her fate. When her mom eats the spell she because a bear, which is not a good thing because the #1 activity where they live is to kill bears. Now Merida and her mom bear have to find a way to change this.

Cast Highlights:
  • Kelly McDonald (Merida)
  • Billy Connolly (Fergus, Merida's father)
  • Emma Thompson (Elinor, Merida's mother)
  • Julie Walters (The witch)
  • And of course, John Ratzenberger (Gordon, the guard [minor character])
Final Thoughts:
Tough not the epic Pixar movie I was expecting it was still a fun adventure. I love the acting and of course the animation is great. It can feel a bit lacking at sometimes but it is still a epic adventure I wanted from Pixar but not exactly what was the movie we saw from the trailers.

My Rating: 8/10

What do you think of the movie? (No spoilers!)
