Pixar Review: 'Cars 2'

Hi everybody! It is time for my review on Pixar's most critically-hated movie currently, Cars 2.

About couple years after the first movie Lighting McQueen has recently came back to Radiator Springs after his fourth Piston Cup win, but now his best friend Mater has gotten him in the new World Grand Prix. But in another side of the globe a spy car named Finn McMissile is trying to find out a case about a mysterious camera. Meanwhile, when Lighting, Mater, and the crew are getting ready for the first race in Japan, Mater got mixed up in Finn McMissile's and his parter's (Holley Shiftwell) undercover spy quest. And now the movie is a collage of the first movie's racing scenes and a new spy story.

Cast Highlights:
  • Emily Mortimer (Holley Shiftwell)
  • John Turturro (Francesco Bernoulli, one of the racecars Lighting is up against)
  • Thomas Kretschmann (Professor Z, the right hand man to the main bad guy, who I'm not going to spoil.)
Final Thoughts:
Okay, though it is not as great as WALL-E or Up, it is still a pretty good movie, after watching it a couple of times I see what they were trying to do and though the spy story is a bit unoriginal, the animation is great as you would expect from Pixar. Overall, it might not be the most awesome Pixar movie ever, but it is still a pretty nice movie, not the best but still good.

My Rating: 5/10

NOTE: I love Pixar, but this movie just didn't feel right to me. I just felt like a normal family movie and not a Pixar one.

What do you think of the movie? (No spoilers!)
