"A true pioneer in the animation industry, Ed Catmull openly and honestly shares insights along his journey to being the head of both Pixar Animation Studios and [Walt] Disney Animation Studios in his new book Creativity, Inc.. Image of the Pixar animation department from the Nightline interview

The six minute video from Nightline can be watched below, but it should be noted that one part of the interview contains an inaccurate piece dialogue. The voiceover states that Pixar won their first Academy Award for Luxo, Jr. when in fact the first win for the studio was for Tin Toy in 1988."

"An additional video featuring Ed Catmull discussing Creativity, Inc. was also on Good Morning America and can be seen below. The interview also touches on the Toy Story 2 fiasco which almost saw the complete deletion of the Pixar's first sequel (this is also discussed in greater detail in Creativity, Inc.)." -Pixar Post http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/pixar-ed-catmull-reveals-secrets-movie-magic-23437086

Post 122: Pixar Gets 'DCONSTRUCTED'

Hi everyone! Do you love Disney Remixes and Disney and Pixar Songs? Then get new 'DCONSTRUCTED' songs!

This is a new album has a collection of Disney remixes. This are the Pixar tracks:
Roar from Monsters University (Yogi Remix) – Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso

Partysaurus Overflow based off Toy Story Toon: Partysaurus Rex  – BT & Au5

UNKLE Reconstruction from The Incredibles (U.N.K.L.E.) – Michael Giacchino

You’ve Got a Friend in Me from Toy Story 1,2,and 3 (Alfred Montejano Hyper Remix) – Randy Newman

"Some tracks on the compilation pull in audio from the original song, like You've Got A Friend In Me (track 12) but unfortunately this track missed the mark for my taste. Other tracks like UNKLE Reconstruction (track 6) are loosely inspired by Giacchino's work on The Incredibles and sounds like it could be plucked straight from a Crystal Method record. I'd be interested to hear what other EDM fans may think, but being an avid fan of EDM music personally I found some of the tracks to really hit the mark while others fell a bit flat. Any way you slice it though, I enjoy hearing more EDM tracks from the likes of Armin van Buuren and Matt Zo.

Additionally, D23 has uploaded a video which briefly describes the release, its inspiration and the freedom they allowed the DJs that were asked to be part of the album." - Pixar Post

Also you can listen to a sample of the songs under the D23 video. What song would YOU like to see remixed? See you soon!

Post 121: 'Ratatouille: The Adventure' Opens in Paris July 10

Hi everyone! Today we have heard many things about the new Ratatouille ride in Paris now we have some major pictures and even the first REAL video on the ride.

"Nearly five years in the making, Disneyland Paris has just announced the official Date of Ratatouille the Adventure - set to open on July 10, 2014. In a video teaser released by Disneyland Paris, we are treated to a quick behind-the-scenes look into this new attraction.

Ratatouille the Adventure will feature brand new animation to help enhance the experience and bring the characters to life. In addition to the new animation, Disney Imagineering has done an outstanding job shrinking guests down to "Remy"-size with the incredible props and attention to detail within the attraction.

As revealed earlier this year, Composer Michael Giacchino will reprise his musical Ratatouille-role as he and a talented orchestra will add their musical touches throughout the attraction. While the opening date has been announced we can't help but wonder if the rumors of a Linguini face character will be on-hand to greet guests on July 10 - looks like Disneyland Paris may have a few other surprises for us." -Pixar Post

Will you want to ride like Remy? See you soon.

Post 120: 'Inside Out' News is 'Inside Out'

Hi everyone! the next Pixar movie called 'Inside Out' coming in the U.S. in June 19, 2015 is getting some news while the film being released next year's Summer.

First, the Pixar website has been updated (pixar.com) with a all new plot details of  "Inside Out":

From the tepuis of South America to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places.
In 2015, he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all - inside the mind of an 11-year-old named Riley.
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city,
house and school.
Also, they leaked a teaser scene at CinemaCon:
...the emotion characters (Joy and Sadness) get lost inside Riley's mind - leaving Anger, Disgust and Fear to run the show. Riley doesn't have any Joy or Sadness at this point and her Mom senses that she's only Angry, Disgusted and Fearful. As Riley's Mom questions her, the three remaining emotions, attempt to take the place of the missing Joy emotion without success. Riley's Mother then pulls in her Father, who's emotions are watching hockey...all of them! Riley's Father begins to question her and then she blows up in anger since that's the emotion in charge at that time. The Mom then storms off and says, "Why didn't I marry that Brazilian helicopter pilot?" - The Hollywood Reporter
So are you pumped for "Inside Out"?

Post 119: "Incredibles 2" & "Cars 3" Confirmed

Hi everyone! As 'Cars 2' wasn't as big as a movie that they were rooting for and that people REALLY WANTED a sequel to 'The Incredibles', they are now giving 'Cars' a second chance and giving what fans want.

"In 2004, when Disney owned sequel rights, Disney announced plans to make sequels for The Incredibles and Finding Nemo without Pixar involvement. Those plans were subsequently scrapped.

When Disney acquired Pixar in 2006, the expectation of Disney was that Pixar would create more sequels and bankable franchises. Director Brad Bird stated in 2007 that he was open to the idea of a sequel if he could come up with an idea superior to the original film: "I have pieces that I think are good, but I don't have them all together," Bird said.

During an interview in May 2013, Bird reiterated his interest in making a sequel. "I have been thinking about it. People think that I have not been, but I have. Because I love those characters and love that world," said Bird. "I am stroking my chin and scratching my head. I have many, many elements that I think would work really well in another Incredibles film, and if I can get ‘em to click all together, I would probably wanna do that."

At the Disney shareholders meeting in March 2014, Disney CEO and chairman Bob Iger confirmed that Pixar is working on another The Incredibles film, with Bird returning as writer" -Wikipedia

Also Hypable said:
"Speaking to Digital Spy, Jackson says he’s very aware that the sequel is in development and that his character is a part of the story: “Every time I run into Brad, he always tells me Frozone is part of what’s going on, so I have to believe that.”

While Jackson didn’t say much about what he knows, he seems cautiously optimistic that he’ll be called on to reprise his voice role: “I guess they could be the Incredibles without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful addition to what’s already there.”
In case you forgot: Frozone is Mr. Incredibles’ best friend and superhero partner.

The original film ended on a cliffhanger that opened a wide door for a sequel: The Incredibles family are introduced to a new villain called the Underminer, who they plan to go to battle with when they put their superhero clothes back on. Given the fact that it’ll be well over 10 years between the two Incredibles movies, it’s quite possible that the Underminer won’t be a focus on the sequel and instead will time jump like Toy Story 3 did."

Now about that 'Cars 3' thing...
A while back there was an interview...

"In a recent interview with Route 66 News, Michael Wallis, voice of Sheriff and author of numerous books including Route 66: The Mother Road, may have leaked information regarding this highly rumored sequel. During the interview he revealed that not only was he excited that Cars 3 was underway, but that the basis for the movie would center back around the mother road - transferring from Route 66 to Route 99. Michael mentions that Route 99 (also known as the Pacific Highway or the Golden State Highway) is the highway that runs through the middle of California."- Pixar Post

Well now it's official!

Now what do you think of 'Incredibles 2' and the now true 'Cars 3'?
